Supportive Measures
If an individual believes they have experienced discrimination or harassment based on pregnancy, related conditions, or parental or marital status, supportive measures are available regardless of whether they choose to file a formal complaint under the Policy Against Sexual Harassment and Discrimination. These supportive measures are non-disciplinary, non-punitive, individualized services designed to restore or preserve equal access to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's educational programs or activities. Supportive measures are available for the individual accused of engaging in alleged discrimination or harassment as well.
The Office of Title IX & Student Civil Rights Compliance can assist complainants and respondents with a range of supportive measures based on the specifics of each case, including but not limited to:
- Academic accommodations (e.g. deadline extensions, course changes)
- Workplace accommodations (e.g. schedule changes, reassignments, leaves of absence)
- Housing accommodations on campus (e.g. change in room assignments)
- Other accommodations, determined on a case-by-case basis
Contact Kristen Kreple, Title IX Coordinator & Director of Student Civil Rights Compliance, to request supportive measures. While many accommodations can be made while protecting your identity, some may require coordination with other University personnel, such as instructors, Human Resources, and housing staff. The Office will not share any details of your experience with other personnel.
