Brenna Maloney PA-C: Postgraduate Fellow

Brenna grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and minors in chemistry and psychology. While in Colombia, she worked as a patient care technician at the University Hospital and was able to work on all inpatient hospital units. This gave her vast exposure to inpatient medicine, and was where she was first introduced to emergency medicine! Brenna also worked as a certified nursing assistant for a local hospice company in her hometown while on school breaks, showcasing a very different area of clinical practice. In her undergraduate career, Brenna served on the leadership board of the Pre-PA association for the university and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. In her free time, Brenna enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring downtown Chicago. Brenna completed her physician assistant education and training at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. During that time, she had two emergency medicine rotations through the Froedtert Medical System and the Cook County Hospital System. Through these rotations, Brenna experienced the dynamic environment of the ED, collaboration between providers, and procedural medicine, which only strengthened her love for emergency medicine. Brenna is eager to expand her knowledge, reinforce her clinical skills, and gain procedural experience throughout the fellowship to serve as a competent and collaborative member of the healthcare team.
