Jill Sebastian is a Milwaukee artist renowned for her drawings, sculptures, and installations. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and she's completed numerous public art projects locally, including pieces for Milwaukee's Baird Center and UW-Madison's Genome Center. Her work is included in the Haggerty exhibition Life Lines.

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Chorus and Chamber Choir draws inspiration for this performance from Jan Tichy’s Installation No. 46 (Rhythmus 24), where light pulses as rhythm and rhythm transforms into vision. This concert explores the meeting point of science and art, past and present, tradition and innovation.

Can art combat digital distraction? Beyond focused contemplation, art offers models of attention. Mary, a paramount example in Western art, reveals attention is more than just focus; she's also distractible for good reason. Marian art prompts us to reconsider if digital-age "distraction" might be vital to Christian spiritual life.

In this talk, Jonathan Malesic will give a brief overview of what burnout is and why college faculty are so vulnerable to it. He will then guide participants through conversations about possible sources of burnout in their work and potential ways beyond it.
