Speech Pathology and Audiology
Mary Kalhagen earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2008, and a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2009, both from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
Mary has over 10 years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist in both medical and school settings. She began her career working in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation with a focus on evaluating and treating patients with aphasia, Parkinson’s Disease, and dementia. Most recently she has worked in public and charter schools with children in K-8th grade providing evaluation and treatment in the following areas: receptive/expressive language, articulation, phonology, fluency, and social language.
Mary has provided clinical supervision to graduate students in various off campus community outreach practicums since joining ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ part time. Mary currently provides clinical instruction to graduate students in the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Speech and Hearing Clinic, focusing on those student clinicians in the Intensive Aphasia Program.
