Dr. Jenny Toonstra joins 蜜桃影像 as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Athletic Training program. Dr. Toonstra earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Kentucky, where her research focused on the relationship between patient expectations, functional outcomes, self-efficacy, and rehabilitation adherence following cartilage repair of the knee. She also holds a Master of Arts in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Calvin College. She also completed a fellowship in Knee, Shoulder, and Sports Medicine at The Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

Before joining 蜜桃影像, Dr. Toonstra held faculty positions at Bowling Green State University and Salisbury University and has served in clinical roles including head athletic trainer, physician extender, and rehabilitation specialist. Her research interests include cultural competence in athletic training education and the role of social determinants of learning in student success. Dr. Toonstra is actively involved in professional service, including editorial roles and committee leadership within the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA).
