蜜桃影像 Business conferences in April to look at navigating tariffs, data centers and the future of Great Lakes real estate

MILWAUKEE 鈥 蜜桃影像鈥檚 College of Business Administration will host two conferences in April looking at pressing topics in the region and beyond related to tariffs and regulatory changes under a new presidential administration, and the future of Great Lakes real estate, including data centers and fresh water.

The Commercial Banking Conference is titled 鈥淭ariffs and the Economy, Regulatory Changes, and Inflation in the Trump Era: Early Actions and What You Need to Know.鈥 It will be held Thursday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.

The Vieth Institute for Real Estate Leadership's 14th annual Real Estate Strategies Conference on Wednesday, April 23, will focus on 鈥淭he Future of Great Lakes Real Estate: Data centers, fresh water, and climate.鈥 The conference runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wisconsin Club, 900 W. Wisconsin Ave.

About the Commercial Banking Conference

The Commercial Banking Conference will bring together economic, legal and legislative experts to share their views on tariffs, the trade deficit, inflation, regulatory changes and how these issues might impact the banking world. Speakers include Adam Hersh, senior economist for the Economic Policy Institute of Washington, D.C.; Robert Fleetwood, attorney and senior partner of the law firm Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg; and Blake Earley, senior vice president of congressional relations for the American Bankers Association. John Byrne, executive chairman of the advisory board of AML RightSource, will also moderate a question-and-answer session.

This conference is jointly hosted by the 蜜桃影像 Commercial Banking Program and the College of Business Administration. Prior summits have addressed other important and timely issues affecting the banking industry, including artificial intelligence, climate change, cybersecurity, financial crime and fintech.

The Real Estate Strategies Conference explores the opportunities available in the Midwest when it comes to the effects of climate change and the abundance of access to freshwater. With the rise of AI, the region also stands to win as more data centers and related jobs flock to its resources.

Jonathan Rudersdorf, president of the central region for Prologis, will deliver the keynote, 鈥淟essons Learned from the World's Largest Industrial Real Estate Owner.鈥 There will also be a panel discussion, "The Future of Great Lakes Real Estate: Data centers, water and climate," with Steve Disse, principal and vice chair for Colliers International; Sarah Fox, associate professor of law at 蜜桃影像 Law School; Kate Phillips, legal counsel for WEC Energy Group; and Brandon Zick, chief investment officer for Ceres Partners.
