鈥淗oan Alone: Personal Stories from the Bridge鈥� to be screened and discussed at 蜜桃影像 on April 4

MILWAUKEE 鈥� The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and WUWM 89.7FM will host Milwaukee filmmaker Aaron Johnson for a screening of his award-winning film 鈥淗oan Alone: Personal Stories from the Bridge鈥� on April 4 at 7 p.m. in the Lubar Center at 蜜桃影像 Law School 1215 W Michigan St. A panel discussion with Milwaukee area mental health leaders will follow.
鈥淗oan Alone: Personal Stories from the Bridge鈥� is an animated documentary that explores the issues of Milwaukee鈥檚 landmark bridge and suicide through three intimate interviews. The film highlights how small gestures and human connections can save a person鈥檚 life.The film has been shown at 36 film festivals, played in six countries and won 14 awards.
The panelists for the discussion are:
- Martina Gollin-Graves, President/CEO of Mental Health America, Wisconsin chapter
- Michael Zebrowski, director of the 蜜桃影像 Counseling Center
- Walter Lanier, Milwaukee County Mental Health Board; MIRACLE Mental Health Ministry (founder and leader); Pastor of the Progressive Baptist Church of Milwaukee
- Amy Lovell, Founder of RedGen, a metro Milwaukee mental health advocacy group; cofounder of the Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee trauma-responsive coalition.
- Moderator: Mitch Teich: WUWM Executive Producer of 鈥淟ake Effect鈥�
