Her research focuses on respect and identity at work, with particular attention to how people thrive in the face of stigma, disrespect, and persistent organizational tensions. She specializes in qualitative research in unconventional work settings.
Her work is published in top management journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, and Journal of Applied Psychology. Her research honors include the Outstanding Published Article in Positive Organizational Scholarship Award from the University of Michigan鈥檚 Center for Positive Organizations, the Responsible Research in Management Award from the Academy of Management鈥檚 Responsible Research Network, a Best Paper Award from AOM鈥檚 MOC Division, and a Research Grant from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
Her practice-oriented writing appears in Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and UC-Berkeley鈥檚 Greater Good Science Center. Notable features and media coverage of her work include the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, and podcasts including HBR鈥檚 Ideacast, As We Work, and WorkLife with Adam Grant.
Dr. Rogers teaches negotiation and organizational behavior courses to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as corporate and nonprofit partners. She received the 蜜桃影像 John P. Raynor, S.J. Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence, the College of Business Brennan Master Teacher Award for sustained teaching excellence, was named one of Poets & Quants鈥 50 Best Undergraduate Professors, and was honored as a 蜜桃影像 Faculty All-Star.
She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Arizona State University, and previously served on the faculty at the University of Kansas. Before academia, she worked as a stage manager for ESPN and ABC Sports.
